Trusted End-Of-Life Care
At Furever Faithful, we understand that your beloved pet is a family member and we treat each pet with respect and dignity during their time in our care, as we have done with Faithful Hearts Mobile Veterinary Services serving the upstate since early 2020. We strive to make every step of this heartbreaking time a little less difficult for pet families.
Furever Faithful was founded by pet lovers who are 100% committed to pets, and that is also why we chose to offer the gentler care alternative of aquamation!
Why Aquamation?
Many families choose aquamation because it is a gentler alternative to flame cremation. Aquamation uses water, warmth, and alkalinity rather than fire, creating a process that many people feel is softer and more in line with the love they shared with their pet. It is also an environmentally friendlier option, using less energy and producing no direct emissions of harmful greenhouse gases. For families looking for a more peaceful, thoughtful way to honor their beloved companion, aquamation offers a gentler, greener final act of care.
Aquamation:
- Saves over 90% versus the energy requirements of traditional flame-based cremation
- Does not require fossil fuels or create direct emissions of harmful gases
- Families get up to 20% more of their pet returned, because this process is so much gentler than flame cremation.
This also allows for additional keepsakes such as surgical implants, which are often badly damaged by the extremely intense heat of flame cremation.

Common Questions
What should I do if my pet passes at home?
Outside of our normal business hours, we offer receiving into our care (via pickup & transport OR office drop off) as we are able to. A call in fee would apply (pricing is on our Aquamation Services page). Another option is to keep your pet safe with you until we are open again. Please note, with how gentle the aquamation process is, proper storage between your pet's death and receiving into our care is vital. Pets should be:
- Wrapped in a towel, blanket, or other material
- Stored inside in a cool, dry place (or in cold storage such as a cooler or chiller)
- Kept from access by external parasites such as flies
Depending on the length of time between death and receiving into our care, paw prints and memorial item options may be affected.
Can I still receive my pet's ashes back with water-based cremation?
Yes, you can receive your pet’s ashes back with aquamation. In fact, because aquamation is a gentler process, families often receive more of their pet’s ashes back. The ashes are also cleaner - typically brighter and finer in consistency.
How do I know I got MY pet back?
Many pet families biggest concern surrounding their pet's cremation is if the remains they get back truly belong to their, and only their, pet. Thanks to our dual-triple system of using Rex Veterinary Software aftercare tracking, in tandem with paper charts, as well as personalized metal tags for each pet being individually cremated (returned with your pet's remains), you can rest assured that you will get your pet back.
